Three Yanmar 6EY22ALWS engines for Ro Vanguard
Ro Vanguard is equipped with three Yanmar 6EY22ALWS medium-speed marine engines with SCR technology for NOx after-treatment.
Built by Larsnes Mek. Verksted for Rostein AS, Ro Vanguard is a live fish carrier, also known as a wellboat, designed to transport live fish within the aquaculture industry. The vessel follows the sister ships Ro Senja and Ro Venture.
Yanmar power for live fish carriers
The Ro Vanguard installation is another Yanmar application in the Norwegian fishing and aquaculture sector. Live fish carriers are a well-established target segment for Yanmar Commercial Marine, and Norway is recognised as an important market for fish carriers and fishing vessels.
The three 6EY22ALWS engines combine Yanmar’s medium-speed marine engine technology with SCR emissions after-treatment.
