Jarle Berg

Jarle Berg is a new purse seiner/seine netter delivered to Jarle Bergs Sønner and built by Larsnes Mek Verksted. Designed by Skipskompetanse, the vessel is optimised for coastal operations and named in honour of the owners’ father.

Measuring 50.7 metres in length with accommodation for 14 crew, Jarle Berg is tailored to seine and spinner fishing. It features onboard processing for fresh fish, combined RSW and live tanks with a total capacity of 499 m³, and space for freezer containers to support efficient catch handling and processing. An optimised hull design enhances fish quality, while a hybrid propulsion setup with a 1,000 kWh battery pack enables low-emission operation. The vessel is powered by a Yanmar 6EY26WS main engine, delivering 1,920 kW (2,570 hp).
