Inuksuk II

Inuksuk II is a new 80-metre stern trawler delivered to Baffin Fisheries and built by Tersan Shipyard. The vessel is the largest Canadian-owned fishing trawler to date. It is scheduled to begin operations in the Eastern Arctic in 2025, harvesting shrimp and Greenland halibut for its Inuit owners.
Designed for polar and North Atlantic waters, Inuksuk II operates across NEAFC, NAFO, and ICES regulatory areas. The vessel is powered by two Yanmar 6EY22ALW engines, delivering a combined output of 1,370 kW. Its design prioritises a safe working environment, comfortable crew accommodation, and long service life in demanding operating conditions.
